Rob, yes both the Penguin Mk 2 and Mk 3 appear to be based on the Armoured Snowmobile Mk I.
I agree with Rob that building an Armoured Snowmobile Mk I from a derelict Penguin 2 or 3 would be a great idea. The Russian example is in Kubinka which is near Moscow, the other example is apparently in an Italian Army museum just outside Rome. Judging by the current worldwide political climate, Rome may prove to be the better visit option. |
