Nice work Bill.
If you have the time can you measure the distance between the front edge of the tank back to the base of the filler neck..... should be around 9.25 inches. Thanks Bob C

Hello Bob, The measurement from the leading edge of the tank to the front part of the flange for the filler tube is 6 1/2 inches.

Not to worry you but have you tried fitting the tank in place...... must be a real tight fit for the fuel spout....? and will the strap for the tank fit???
Just finishing some pictures for posting on my tank dilemma..... Bob

Hello Bob, My father is the one doing the restoration about 240 miles away from me. I will pass on the information about fitting, and see if he has any issues.

I beleive the retaining strap will hit right over the forward spout.

Double checked the filler measurements and they are correct. The tanks were restored and not re-fabricated, so the measurement is from the original tank. The mounting brackets and the cab are not on the frame, so there will have to be some fitting done when re-assembly takes place.
