A "wow" moment for me too. About 10 years ago I purchased at a farm auction a Bickle Seagrave trailer pump in Wiarton, Ontario. I have the documentation around here somewhere but the federal government had about thousand of these produced for the ARP - Air Raid Precautions in '42. I'm still in the learning curve but I'm pretty sure it's the same flathead that's in a carrier attached to a 450 GPM pump. According what I have, this particular pump was posted to Galt, Ontario. Galt had a base for the Commonwealth Air Training Plan which I assumed this pump was used to protect. I suppose it could also have been used to protect Shurly Dietrich Atkins...
Small world. I haven't done much work on the pump trailer but it's on the "to do" list. Hopefully mine will be as nicely restored as this example that is in Victoria, BC Mike Snetsinger
