Default Mudflaps

Firstly,thanks to everyone who has replied to this thread. The picture that Martin has supplied is exactly what I was looking for, as I have the remains of one of the front flaps, and this now confirms to me that some vehicles were fitted with short front canvas mudflaps. Still not convinced over the rear ones though, as in the Design Records there are several pictures of LAA Tractor units and CGT units which are fitted with rubber mudflaps. I agree that rubber was in short supply, and maybe this is why they went over to canvas say late 1942. Alex, let's hope your latest purchase will help with this small technicality, and others.
