If you need to make something complete for a display, I have tarp, side curtains and doors, plus the arch and (maybe) the door rods. Not an ambulance, but the standard M38A1 Jeep. You can have them for the summer campaign season on a DND 638.

If you are looking for the ambulance kit, there are 3 or 4 of those out in the local scrapyard. Basically it is a deck that fits on to the back of the Jeep making it long enough to accept stretchers. Seems to me there are light brackets and some supports that run back to the rear bumper.

The kits range from new (cardboard boxes have decomposed off them over the decades) to used.

PM me for contact information if you feel you have to have one. Not sure how transportation would be arranged.

Rob thank you for the offert, but we have the kit.
What we are looking for are the roof, the side walls and the back curtain.
In the scrapyard is there any parts of the above?

I doubt he has those items, but I'll ask him.

I suspect your best bet may be to make up some measurements and have a place like beachwood canvas make it up, or some other custom canvas maker. If you go with a company that already makes canvas for the military jeeps you will have a much better end product than if you go with a tent and awning company.

It goes without saying that 45yr old canvas will have plenty of weaknesses - rotten fabric, oxidized thread, frayed straps, etc. The vinyl windows are just coarsely sewn onto the canvas. So, whatever you start with is going to be more fragile than something brand new.
