How about this mount? To me it appears to be the "goose neck" from an anti aircraft mount that has been attached to the lower machined part that fits the brass mount. The carrier would be a British built one.
RHLI carrier from 1941. The carrier is the one that famously took the King for his first ride in a UC. The name plate on the front says "Gail" That was Denny Whitakers daughter back in Canada. He was the OC of the RHLI Carrier Platoon. The last picture is the entire platoon lined up for a photo.

Now you're complicating life Jordan. Never seen that one before.
It looks to be the standard bronze mount on the outside, so to use this mount would require four holes in the gunners front plate of a U.C. Are these British carriers? (Brit headlights and horn) What's the bit with the name on it above the drivers vision slot?
