Well, 57 hours no sleep and a 16 hour drive , low and behold Mr Shamus Quinn Spencer Rugby No.8 man and a damn fine tank commander to boot arrived this am. Born Sept 17th ( I know why this date is important Richard ) 2004 at 10:06am, 6 pounds 10 ounces, 20 inches long.
Mom and baby are doing fine though they had a busy night and I heard some things coming from that room that would curddle a sailors Rum.

BTW ... 6l bs 10 oz 20 inches ... I know EXACTLY what that can feel like because my first born was exactly that ... I did some of my own bloodcurdling sounds ... next birth was 7 lbs 11 oz 21 inches ... I hope Shamus's Mom is bigger than me (I'm 5'1" SCREeeEeeEaeeaeammmmmmmmmm many many stitches after very panicky med types)

God ... I HOPE Mom recuperates quickly ... and the joy is that the second a child is born all pain is gone and replaced with wonder.
