| Australian 2pdr

Well on my search for anything 2 pounder I have managed a swap for a very nice Australian barrel and ring which is currently live and on my FAC . The inside of the Barrel is in perfect condition and has a nice shine. On the barrel it has the General Motors Holdens South Australia emblem nicely etched. It has the 5 steps in it so I was assuming it was from the land carriage, does anyone know if this profile was used in turrets ? Need to find some more bits for it ! I think Most Matilda gun tanks had a stepped barrel towards the end of conflict possibly after the original vickers tapered barrels wore out ! Kind Regards |

Thanks for that Matt, I thought it would have been a standard local pattern replacement part but its always a good thing when it can be confirmed by a Local ! Cheers Rob.......................rnixartillery. |
