I was not so lucky. I think that when Derk sat in my truck, the horseshoes that are stuck up his ass mishaped my truck cushions.

The carrier jack should not have been where it was........that particular yard was filled in the 80s, so the stuff he was finding were either hiding in the back corners of some MT storeroom, or had been moved from another yard over to this one.

The shed where the pins were is another story. Lots of old surprises will be in there, and it is piled 6' high.

Those little fire extinguishers are desireable amongst firefighting apparatus collectors too.

Default Nice Finds ...But Wrong Jack

Indeed Nice finds however the jack is close but no cigar...

Compare the recent find and the ones in the attached pics. Notice the size of the "button" where it contacts the jacking post. The correct jack has a much larger button.

Hopefully this nugget will prevent people from starting... Jack Collections.

All this good info will be in my tool reference book...one of these days. And yes I am closer to completion....

Should anyone here have one of the correct jacks for sale or trade I am still looking and will pay or trade more than fair!!

Default Out by one number!

Thanks Bruce for the information.I am out by one number and one good thing is I don't have to try and unseize it now as it is solid with rust!I will keep an eye out now for a 925 Walker jack.Sorry,no rad socket yet but I will be out there again looking around.I figured out how to take close up pictures with my camera so took one of the track pin's head stamps,I also found a crank in the scrap pile, not sure what it's off of.Not sure if Canadian Tire was around in WWII but found a C broad arrow marked punch.

Derk: Craftsmen is the tool brand controlled by Sears, and according to Wikopedia has been making tools since about 1927. Not sure if they were making them in Canada, but US tooling certainly would have found it's way up here.

That last pic does raise an interesting question...Is the grease gun a single or dual stage gun?

I ask only because a friend showed me a gun a while back that would do high volume at one part of the stroke, and high pressure with another..

Default Another day of good finds!

Rob & I were back at our favorite army surplus yard today and found more goodies.I have been on the hunt for tools to fill my Ford 3 Ton CMP and Carrier tool kit list. Thanks to Rob for finding me this Carrier Tow cable.Marked DC-1940 with the hook marked DC and on the other side X1142.I will need to find another hook at some point but is nice to have an original Tow cable finally.
