If they're not bent at 90deg to the side then they'll be twisted when welded.

I also made a new forming plate which is a bit thicker than the other one I had. It certainly needs to be clamped to a solid base for peening.

As I form it around the corner I kept grinding the excess away as you don't need to shrink/stretch any more than you need to.
Another 7 to make and a dead arm at the end of it  Colin.
