Try moving the coil up into the air dam, I think this is where Paul put his.

as you can see, its beside the generator, I thought the fan wash would have been enough. Anyone from the hotter parts of Aussie got an opionion of dealt with this problem?

Try the front L/h side of engine on coil bracket, mounted off head studs.
The present position of yours looks farily close to the water pipe, is this transfering heat to the coil??

Thanks for the heads up Andrew, hadnt thought of it picking up latent heat off the radiator pipe, will re mount and give it another crack.
