Fastenal.com has them in all sizes, and in plain steel.

Default I'm not finding them on Fastenal

Hi Svenn

Glad you found them, but what where they called and are they the same style as in first posting?

Cheers Phil

Hi Phil. They call them weld nuts. Here is one example:

Default I've been looking under the wrong name in Fastenal

Thanks Svenn

I've search Fastenal web site and master catalog and did not find them, even had the guys at the local dealer search. Now when I search on this side of the pond I'm only seeing the 1/4x20, 1/4x28 and M8 did your search show the other sizes needed for CMP?

Now we have a number of names these things have been found under:
Weld nut
Caged Nut
Captive Nut
Floating Captive Nut.

Cheers Phil
