I had a good look at the one in Brussels and it indeed had a lot of extra gussets welded in! The CATI has very little of the wartime carrier under it. All of the mild steel hull is replaced with thicker armour plate, there was an a new drivers floor too, this sat on top of the chassis rails, the original was retained at the bottom of the chassis rails, creating a box section and hiding away the torque tube from view.
See the attached photo for an internal view of the one in Brussels, note the 'modern' driver controls now located to the right of the drivers area and the change in fuel tanks. One new fuel tank was added at the rear left and fed a later version of the Ford Flathead V8. The engine mod may just be a museum change, I am not sure. Ironically enough the 90mm gun was a local modification of the existing stocks of wartime 6 Pdrs!
