Good luck with the purse. One went on ebay a few years ago for close to $200.

I have three hats, all small, so that may be a challenge too.

I'd try some of the US WAC re-enactment groups for the shoes and gloves.

The tunics come up on eBay fairly regular, so good luck.

Default cwac uniform

I have looked at Google images for the CWAC purse. They appear to be a very simple piece of kit. Originals may be hard to find.... and as noted they might be expensive. Post a pic of the purse you have in mind. Some seem to have a leather patch on the bottom, while others appear to be a tan canvas with brown leather tubing..... I have been known to dabble with sewing machines and canvas and I like challenges. I especially like being able to assist somebody in reminding us all of the sacrifices so many young men and women made. I might be able to put one together. Drop me a line.
PS: I have had to eat a lot of crow in my time, so please do not send the recipe.

Guy

Try going to a museum say pat bay? and they may have one that you could borrow...? on loan then buy the material and have one made...A lot cheaper and it will be more wearable as well. the unis didn't change much for the ladies from WWII to the 50's...Colours maybe. Coat will be wool same issue as a mans and was tailored.
You'll need the shirt and tie as well.Good luck and if i see anything here in vancouver area i shall let you know...We have the historical arms society that has a few uni collectors.. I'll ask geoge to check it out and post here again... Good luck...

Oh BTW it was the carrier that made me faint LOL! and crow tastes just fine when the spousal unit is looking over your shoulder! LOL

Default possibility???

Roberta......get a hold of Ian Newby at International Movie Services in Alder grove B.C. and he might be able to RENT you one for the occasion. I don't think he'll sell you one, but sometimes renting might be your only option. You can google the company and get all the details. Good luck.....Robert
