I think the Vickers MG was more common on the LP carriers. I don't remember seeing it being used much in Europe but the LP carriers certainly have mounts to suit the stowage and use of a Vickers guns and tripods.
Someone with better knowledge of the LP carriers would be better placed to answer that. Standard issue with carriers from Bren through to post war seems to be a combination of Boys, Bren and SMLE. All these had stowage designed specifically for the carrier. Ben |
