Nice image of the 'double headed' Antar, but what town is the rig hauling that big crate through? Can't quite read the signs in the background.

Maybe one of the MLU-ers knows and can do a 'then and now'?

Mike,
I have seen that pic before, not sure if it was in a book or on the net, and think it was actually in the town of Cooma. Having only been there once, I cannot say if it looks right.

Mike, I have posted it before so you may have seen it before here on MLU if not elsewhere. I took it off a large blown up image on display at Khancoban Power Station, no idea where it was originally taken.

Except for the rural paddocks in the background, it almost looks like COROWA, especially with the Bike and Sidecar folowing. Perhaps it was a a warm-up run for "Year of the Trailed Equipment"!

I showed the photo to my wife,Jill. Jill spent 20+ years living in Cooma and worked for the Snowy Authority. Her immediate answer was "That's Cooma! It's the main street, there's the bank and the other bank is there as well."

So that answers your query Mike and confirms your answer, Rich. A then and now photo could be taken.
