Zinc Phosphate I take it you are using the industrial coating type that is applied hot or hot dipped? Not the automotive metal prep. Reason I'm asking that since basically all use gasoline has 10-15% ethanol it is playing havoc with many of the traditional gas tank coatings. It also tends to make tanks that have never rusted before rust. So I'm trying to figure out how to make new tanks for the CMP last. Interestingly the tanks on the C60L Pat 12 built in 1941 is just mild steel, as is the C60S Pat 13 built in 1942. But my HUP tanks appear to be lead coated both inside and out. I mentioned the ford sump from a blitz that may not fit. This one won't.

This one will. You could cut the lip off the other one and replace the bottom of the sump if you had to. I hope this saves someone the frustration of wondering why the hell won't this motor and gearbox go down another 20mm

Made up the fuel drain parts. As you can see, I gas welded them in.

Also finished welding all joints. This I mig welded.
