Default Wiring

In the UK, I use Electrical Engineering Services 01204 884383 email (no web site). He does a range of cotton covered colours and sizes. I use mostly just black for my motorcycle restorations with his little coloured ID tags.
We also have Aoutosparks for classic wiring looms in any shape or colour www.autosparks.co.uk/
I'm sure both these firms will ship overseas.

Ron

Default wiring

Found a supplier of cotton covered pvc wiring from Vintage wiring in Ringwood Victoria. Very helpful in matching original colours.

Default hull number

Spent some time tracing the hull number so it can be reapplied in the same location after painting. Does anyone have a 3 ½ “ stencil?
Out of intrest the numbers on the left side are 3" high and 3 ½ “ on the right side.

..... and both are within the Army's official specs, which state '3 to 3 1/2 inches high...'

Interesting, nevertheless. Wonder if they were both applied at the same time, or if each was applied at different times: there seem to be several sets of 'remains' lurking under the cam paint.

Nice find: no doubt about the painted rego number!

Pity we don't know more about its use/history.

Default Carrier Wiring

Hi Euan - here you are. Hopefully the resolution is adequate. This information is on PP80/81 of the Carrier M.G. (Aust) Spare Parts Catalogue and Indentification List (Revised) as notified in G.O's dated 31st August 1943.

Euan,

Looking good. Having a carrier hull so intact to start with must seem like cheating to all the other carrier restorers who have resurrected basket cases over the years.

Default speedo cable

I was wanting to get a new speedo cable made and need the length of an original one, can anyone help?

Vintage wiring was very helpful with supplying the correct type of wire.
