Is this Uncle still living?

Wish I understood more of the lingo in the documents.

From the photo of your Uncle, it would seem that there were some REALLY bad haircuts given to the recruits.............or where they just bad hairstyles of the day?

Uncle Syd passed away in 1987 and didn't talk much about the war. I agree hair style was a bit iffy but now I would like to just have some hair to keep my brain warm.
