No it is not V3000S. V3000 is 3-tonner truck and this one on the photo is smaller, it is 3/4 ton or 1 1/2 ton maximal, but it is from same production year, so used cab is the same.

hmm what the h... is it then, was there any other european ford factories.
I was to focused on the cab and forgot that it was a small pick up and not a V3000S. I found two pictures of one with two piece windscreen http://freeforumzone.leonardo.it/lof.../D8393014.html http://www.wiking.org/topics/hvyequip.htm the paint could also look a bit like this

It is not a European Ford but rather a Commonwealth one in fact it may be something like an Australian 1ton utility.
![]() On a closer look it appears there is a commonwealth number plate on the lower RH mudguard. Looks like C7961 or similar ????

Ford 1940 (see the 'V/8' stamped in the bonnet?) 15cwt. Spare is on the wrong side for the 1 ton (Model 01Y) and the body too short, so I think its the 15cwt.
What does the number plate say? '?2961': is it a 'V' or a 'C' at the start? Mike Kelly care to comment, as you are pretty good with the Ford/Chev 12-15cwt models? Mike C |

Yes I had a look. First thing I noticed is: the doors have single piece glass . This is a Nth. American style cab , not Ford Aust. The Geelong cabs used the quarter windows in the doors , a unique fitting I believe . I have previously spotted Sth African forces utes , that are outwardly similar to the Aussie vehicles . Just a guess, but that vehicle pictured may have been a African assembled Ford with local pickup bodywork on it . Mike
