Hi, I have completed a run of stainless, exhaust downpipes. I have 2 more sets to finish, making 12 sets in total. I have left the ends plain at 38mm, 1 1/2". What I have found is after grit blasting two sets of cast floor elbows of 65 years of corrosion that they have opened up a bit so would not then seal if the downpipe was made to factory spec, so it is up to the individual to swage out the ends slightly so they can be tailered to your elbows.............makes sense.

they are welded both inside and outside.

Interesting point to note is these elbows are not actually a mirror image of each other, the right hand one has a longer reach than the left one.

Hi, Thanks richard, each flange was hand made, 11mm stainless plate cut and drilled with 40mm hole, managed to find some pipe flange plates at work for some of them hence some have shorter squared off flanges but i will be using those ones on my carriers.

hows that riveting going?.
