Shaun's carrier is going to need a name ( or a nickname )
What can we come up with for a Carrier that went from grave to cradle in exactly twelve months? Lazarus would be a bit downbeat - who has something better? Solstice maybe, since it started and finished on the winter Solstice? ![]()

The morning started with Rick traveling 4 hours to assist with the roll out ( thanks Rick good effort !!) well a year to the day and the old wagon flew ! The first trip went ok, then a few adjustments later and another run and goes very well, we covered just over 2 miles, no over heating or major leaks so all is well. I think the video says it all so enjoy ! sorry for the shakey video ( to much excitment for all concerned ). By the way im the good looking one in the green wooly hat - Rick has the blue one ! Both Ex REME hence the sign on the front of the carrier .
Yes Gordon a name is needed , something light and fluffy like all good British AFVs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bwo5u...eH9hC9pAEyQC9q http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Az6ZL...bghkLHexsheiNr http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tbbas...AeCegR5vzCm7Vb http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A0j-W...9hPLw9rP1-t84Z http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1KJF...UuupPl4W1T0LkM

Well done, sorry I couldn't be there, hope to see it soon.
There's probably a joke in there somewhere, what with the time of year, new born (carrier) and wise men. All the best, Ben |

Any time Ben, i was hoping to get your way before christmas but it has not happened - i dont know to much about wise men !!! ha ha
Here are a few more images from today http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NaqKC0ndWGw I know the last one is not a carrier but Rich was reminicing over equipment he came across in the Gulf war. I think we have to keep an eye on him or well be collecting Russian kit before we know it !

Shaun, Thats Great, What a transformation from when you found her on this day last year, worth the hard graft, another carrier saved for future generations to admire and remember 'good old british engineering'......They dont make em like that anymore!.
I must say that rick looks less stessed than when i saw him last ..........that carrier must be behaving itsself! What you going to call her, how about 'Hedge Jumper'. Merry Christmas ![]() Kevin.

Doesn't get better than that, the smiles said it all.
Noisy little soul on the video though, I expect when the panelling is all there it'll be a fraction quieter, or are they always that loud? Gordon
