Not much to report on. Its winter and the barn is rather cold to work in. However I just get in the mail some nice new cast parts from Ben. Now I just need to wait the 1.5 weeks untill Im not working to actually do something, other then look at them, with them.

Hi all
My carrier is slowly getting back together when I have the chance to work on it. I refinished the radiator cowl and painted it in KG#3 Last year I had a couple of radiator pipes made up from an original one that I had. Unknown to me, but the originals were two different lengths to account for the offset in the heads. All was fine until I went to install the LS pipe and found it 3/4" too long. I also picked up an original fuel tank for a Mk1* Currently I have filled the tank with a parts cleaner to help clean out the old fuel sludge.

The smoke generator bin is fully done as well. Internals were patterned off of originals.
I also decided to stencil on a FMCO42 and the part number onto the wooden battery hold down/cover. I thought it looks good and figure its just another detail. Lastly I rebuilt my original fuel tank. This involved sloshing muriatic acid around inside to remove the rust and lots and lots of flushing with water and baking soda. This opened up 3 very small pin holes so I soldiered them back up. I then used the fuel tank liner from Mac's Auto and the gas tank etch. Everything worked very well and I did 2 coats of the liner in the tank. Im very happy with the results. I also added the No2 Cooker tray.

I riveted on the cast fuel tank hold downs to the hull floor. I ended up using an air hammer and modified one of the punches. I cut the point off of the punch then ground it out into a dished shape. For a bucking bar I used a bottle jack with a 1/4" plate between the ram and the hull floor. It was very easy to do and I was very happy with the results.
Its not the best picture but this was the finished result. Here is how the jack was setup. It held all 4 rivets in place while I hit them from the inside. Lastly are a few pictures of the No2 cooker and pot/pan installed, the carrier fuel funnel in place and with a 2 gallon petrol tin.
