Just a consideration Alex..
M113 are impossible to obtain. Track, armour, roomy + cheap = fun. These vehicles run multi fuel. You worked in HVAC so you know what that means. I figure sources for cheap fuel such as old heating oil, motor oil, red diesel, bio-diesel and contaminated fuel from sources such as fuel companies who have to dispose of it when they pump out old tanks. Another source is for aviation fuel (kerosene). I know from a fellow who is an aircraft mechanic that if they drain aircraft tanks, the fuel is considered contam and is disposed of. He runs a VW rabbit on the stuff... I need to do some investigating on this but I know that companies pay big bucks for hazmat disposal. I figure they would almost give it away.

Terry, at an average consuption rate of .5l per km, one would need to opt for inexpensive fuel options to be able to actualy afford to have some regular fun.
I used to use all kinds of stuff in my M35A2 multifuel 6x6... Secret is to keep fuel filters changed and be careful in the winter. Of course with all multi fuel engines, there is a preferred list of fuels starting with the best working down to the least useable options. Multifuel seems to work best with at least 50% virgin diesel.

Frankly when you balance the aggravation of dealing with less than perfect fuel and start down the road of various potions mixed with raw diesel i think that you are courting disaster versus just shelling out the dollar for good clean diesel, albeit red diesel as you wont be a road going vehicle in the province of Ontario and could get away using that.
