I think the question you are asking is:
Are the exhaust manifolds interchangeable between the 21 and 24 stud motors? and I think the answer is yes. I believe the manifolds pictured below fit both engines.

Hi Lynn, Thanks for the info, I also need to know that you can take the same down pipe from a 21 stud engine and fit it to a 24 stud and both will align correctly between the manifold and the bottom casting hole mounted on the carrier floor plate.

Thanks Kevin.

Basically I think when Henry redesigned his block to seal better (24 stud) he never moved the exhaust ports. So I believe they have stayed the same throughout the production of the flathead.

Kevin quick way to check for sure is your parts book as there would be two sets of downpipes listed for different engines but as Lynn has said i dont think they changed the cast work between blocks (externally)

Default Delay in production

Hi, Regarding the manufacture of the carrier downpipes, We hit a snag whilst making the downpipes yesterday. I decided to complete the manufacture of 10 lefthand downpipes, but the right hand ones will need to be completed after christmas now due to alignment anomalies

Its pretty clear a 21 stud block exhaust manifold is the same as a 24 stud now, but I plan to phsically check this before sending out any downpipes, so I am now ordering enough parts to make an extra 3 sets.

If anyone wants a set there are now 3 sets going spare, on this run i will have to buy the flanges in stainless to save time.

They will be £60 a set.

the following people have a set already coming; jordan, ben, ross.

thanks kev.
