Oorspronkelijke oorlogse banden.
Unieke achterbak ontwerp.
Deze bak is een speciaal voor het Engelse leger gemaakt. Niet door de Canadezen maar in Engeland zelf.
In de bak zit een handtakel ingebouwd van 1 ton.
Deze werd gebruikt om luchtdoelgeschut uit de aanhanger te tillen.
Deze wagen is gebruikt bij de 7e pantserdivisie van het 8ste Leger in Noord Afrika.
Na de oorlog is hij voorzien van een dieselmotor zoals bij zoveel van dit soort voertuigen werd gedaan.
Vanwege zijn zuinige rijden ideaal voor re-enactment.
De meeste CMP's in Nederland zijn 4x4, dit is een 4x2 in een zeldzame uitvoering.
Nog voorzien van de burger uitvoering kilometerteller en niet de latere ronde legeruitvoering.
Het registratienummer op de zijkant is het orginele nummer.
Geen onzin biedingen. Geen belangstelling voor inruilen.

Original 1943 C8A HUW Heavy Utility Wireless

All restored to original condition, working sliding roof, glass windows. Radio set, generator, etc etc. Older restoration, never been cut. Now up and running, however I would recommend new tyres. Street legal Dutch license.

Yes it is the same water trailer , it was as Hanno says on long therm loan with several other trailers and GMC`s from the Dutch Army . How they got away with selling these I don`t know.

Ouch, not good. I thought that was something from the 80's.....selling or giving away items that were on loan...It's sad to hear that it's still happening!

Hello Sjoerd,

It is a nice truck, and fully restored as far as I know. I cannot give you a valuation as you know "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" and "an object is worth what a fool will pay". Now let me state for the record this truck is a beaut and you are no fool!

If you study the threads and pictures on this forum, you will notice relatively few Cab 11 and Cab 12 CMPs were used in NW Europe, and 8-cwt trucks were no longer used by frontline units. So chances this type of CMP was used in NW Europe are very slim. That's possibly why the owner painted it Light Stone, as the 8-cwt class of vehicle was extensively used during the desert war. In my opinion, if you paint over the Allied invasion star, one will have a very good representation of what this type of truck looked like during WW2. Plus it makes a nice change in seeing mainly olive drab vehicles at shows!
