Bob I have a tailgate but it needs work and new latches so it will be hidden in a corner for a while yet.

I don't have to drive carefully now the body is bolted down. Thanks for the rough measurements Keith I started with your sugestion and riggled the body around until the bolts fitted past any obsticles and ended up with a gap that is plus 40mm either side of the tool box.
The last picture shows my fathers day present it's very handy for cutting timber in tight spaces.

How time flies, I just reviewed this thread and it was three years ago I started loosing my hair getting the blitz back on the road. I have just returned from my 3rd rego renewal check.

I fitted the fire extinguisher today as there is no time at the moment to clean it up and it will be harder to misplace if it is in the bracket.

I cleaned mine with Brasso, but I take it yours is made of something other than brass. Have seen some presented nicely, painted same color as truck. Preparation for that would depend on what metal it is made from. A good quality etch & primer should do, with prior removal of any corrosion & light sanding. Wet sanding best if not a ferous metal. I use nothing more course than 400 grit. Mind you, I also get in strife for doing the sanding in shower! Makes easy clean-up
