Darn they might have locked him up for a few years while they investigated what it was. Australia would have been a nicer place to live for a while without him and even better if the PM was with him

If it was a Tim Tam, would security have the same reaction?

We have Vegemite over here on sales in Tescos..it seems that it is imported from Kraft Australia. It tends to be parked next to Marmite (yeast extract)...black gook that divides the nation into Marmite lovers and loathers!

No but we may have to have an Aussie Spring similar to the Arab Spring at the next election to get rid of her.

Ahhhh, Vegemite! Mmmmmmmmmmmm.
It was a prerequisite for entry for all our Australian visitors until I found it on sale locally at World Market ... parked next to some aweful 'wannabe' called Marmite. And Tim Tams are also available, just not called that. All I crave now, and can't get here ANYWHERE, is Bundaberg Rum. Take note, any intending visitors from Oz, your entry requirement to our place is now measured in Bundaberg Rum!!! Mike C (who used to enjoy a Bundy and Coke occassionally....) |

Bundy,
Seems like you are not on your own Mike
"A while back, I contacted Harvest Vintage imports about purchasing Bundy from them. Here is their reply... Unfortunately we do not ship products internationally and cannot accommodate your request to ship Bundaberg Rum to the United States. More information regarding direct shipping of alcoholic products in the United States can be found @ http://www.wineinstitute.org/shipwine The short federal answer is that sending wine or liquor products by U.S. mail is a crime and in many states is a felony. We are the suppliers of Bundaberg Rum in Canada but are only responsible for making it available on a retail level in Alberta. Unfortunately the other provincial liquor boards have not listed Bundaberg Rum and it is not currently available in other provinces. If you travel to Alberta or have friends that do, the product is available in most reputable Alberta liquor stores under the code CSPC#522235. As far as I know Bundaberg is beginning to work with a distributor in the United States, but I am not aware of who that distributor is or whether the product will be available in your area. I apologise that we are not able to help you further; we have attempted to accommodate US citizens in the past but have run into much trouble conforming to they hefty regulations. My advice would be to contact the Customer Enquiries department listed on the Bundaberg Web site (Tel: (AUS) 1800 789 344) and inquire with them about the availability of the product in your area. Best of luck in your pursuit! If you require additional information or have any other questions please feel free to get back to me. Thanks, Mate ... I'll just have to resort to skulduggery or travel to Alberta... which I see is not that far away from Washington State!!
Then again, maybe a diligent search in the cleaning products section at the local 'Albertsons' as suggested by 'Euan the Phillistine' will yield a suitable substitute Hmmm... drain O and Metho, maybe??? Seriously, though, I inquired at World Market, who specialise in food and drink from around the globe, and who already carry Bundaberg Ginger Ale, plus an incredible variety of Australian wines. Guess what? They don't stock 'hard liquer'! Buy all the wine and beer (these are apparently 'soft liquer', maybe?) you can carry ..... but not 'hard liquer'. Some funny laws in these here parts, pardner!! So visitors, be warned: Bundie is a mandatory entry requirement!! Mike C |
