Hi all, Phil, I was more refering to the guys that are not into armour as much as we are.
![]() Bob, I don't think there is any difference for what we are doing except for the price and red covers blasted steel a lot better than the grey. I have been using red oxide for the last 25 years or so. Rick, I will be getting the glass done as well so I'll have a heap done for corowa and I am very lucky to have such great equipment. Good for lifting my expectations. ![]() Colin. |

I cant think of any new superlatives Colin to describe this thread and the work your doing.
I just glanced at the clock and noticed, I have been looking at this thread for over an hour. It is truly mesmerising... ![]() It is fantastic to think of all the history you're preserving.... Just one question....what the heck are your going to do with all these when they're finished?? Maybe invade Victoria and take it in a classic 'Pincer movement' ???

That's the difference. In that Hour Colin would have the hulls painted & knocked up a replica mount.

I was going to suggest I film a timelapse but it's happening too quickly for the camera to see!
If Colin can do armour in this timeframe then a softskin restoration from a rusty hulk with most parts missing would be a matter of mere minutes.

Hey Colin,
We found this box full of goodies on a farm bump but I don't know what the plates with the four holes are for, any clues?

They look like 2lb case mounts. Bren mounts and port covers. Perhaps they came off a 2lb tank attack carrier. Nice little find just the same. We don't have those finds here in Adelaide.

Border raids, whilst not unique to Australia are now part of the very fibre of our being, our psyche and the Australian Way.
