Reference: C15 s/n 2842129988 history and restoration

Well I never thought this would happen but after a lot of thought I have decided to sell my rare 4x2 1942 C15 !!! lack of use and time plus another project in mind means she has to go to a new home gonna miss the old girl.

My tale of restoration is on here, this truck was rebuilt over 5 years and has new brakes, paint, canvas etc and is running on a 235 55 chevy engine with electronic ignition, comes with a couple of spare axles plus odd spares.

Jeremy,

I just saw your add on HMVF; a pity that you have to sell the C15. It sure was nice to follow the project here on MLU. Maybe it's also worth mentioning the MLU restoration log in your ad on HMVF(?)
I hope it goes to a good home.

1942 Chevrolet CMP C15 GS 1942

Produced in Canada during WW2
This example 4x2 15cwt truck was originally destined for north Africa.
Redeployed this truck was shipped to the UK where in 1943 the body was removed and a 20mm anti aircraft gun was fitted by Dennis motors of Guilford Kent. Further wartime history is not known until released in 1946 and being used by Copes garage nr Leeds having had a diesel engine fitted and a small crane jib added
the vehicle has been completely restored taking almost five years with an original spec 6cyl 235 petrol engine.

Good to see you on the MLU, lots of CMP knowledge on here, didn't get to Lancaster last summer but may do this year and may visit if I get chance.
