have checked Vickers Oil cans out using my ever helpful Research Assistant (Ms. Google), these appear to come in 2 sizes, both square, like this one currently on E-Bay:

Hoping you are on the money, as I have a round bracket on the inside wheel arch of my Humber that appears to be same size. I knew that the Ferret had a "Convetional" plunger type oil can, that there were 2 different oil cans is news to me. Thinking on the fly, would these have been used for oiling the 2 speed generator? FFW Humbers were fitted with these, bracket is mounted about a foot away from the geni., and would explain why some trucks have them, but most do not (thought they had just been robbed).
This could well be case solved. Thank you.

Now, how about the other one?
