Paul and the Winkel crew....Excellent work!

I wanted to ask if the Loyd would be done at the time of your open house at the closing of the summer season.....now it seems that shouldn't be too much of a problem! I still remember standing next to the rusty carrier about two years ago....what a great job getting it to this conditon.

Alex

p.s. also like the shade of brown!

Excellent. I hope to see it in real life soon. Will you be joining the Medemblik saterday-night parade on May 7th with the Loyd?

Could you share a few more pics of the louvre-tool? Very well done.

Alex

Paul,

Thanks for the additional pictures of the louvres; excellent work.

Yes, I plan to be at the Medemblik parade; I have to be somewhere else during the day, but plan to have a quick look in Bussum and Medemblik.

Alex

Looks very good , just a hint to steer more easy, when you make a turn you wil need some more horsepowers, with the V8 this means revolutions!!!! so shift your gear down and push the throttle, you will see it works. I had this hint from an Indonesian veteran.

Glad to help out where I could Paul. You have done a truly fantastic job on a rare vehicle while still finding time help me out with my Loyd.
Some day our vehicles will run at the same event, but for the moment my exhaust stub pipes will be remaining in their box while I do everything else on the project. 3 - 6 hours per month doesn't get you far too quickly

is it just me or does anyone else think it's fitted with a carrier engine and gearbox. I say that because it has double pulley's on the water pump (think the civvy one had single belts)and the g/box selector has the lugs on the left side.
a few years back I bought a 7v chassis with the idea of making a loyd from the remains at mallaig but gave up on the idea and gave it to clive hughes who is I believe restoring it.

rick

ps the pic is of the mallaig wreck
