I had my seats done in marine grade vinyl. I'd be a bit wary of how well painted canvas would hold up for seats. This stuff I got is UV safe and is temp safe to some negative #. (way colder then I'll ever be sitting on it)

When my engine was fitted I never had a grounding strap on the engine. I ran 6 volts and it kicked over really fast. Im not sure I will put one on as what Lynn stated, those two rods would work fine. Unless someone finds info as to one being done.

I don't know about MK1's but the MK2 seats are covered in green Rexine. I had mine covered in quite a good look a like modern vinyl material. I have since found some original front seats and a drivers back. Here are some pictures. The spare drivers back I have is the modern vinyl on an original board (for sale if needed) Ron

Just made up these two parts over the last two afternoons. Thanks to those who were able to provide the info/drawings on the convoy light thread.

Not much has been happening with my Carrier as I really don't have that much left to do. (other then getting my engine back) However I did pickup a rather cool piece of "kit" for it this week. Actually I was given it. Its a Boys Mk1 Anti Tank Rifle made by Inglis in 1943.

Hi Jordan,

Thats a nice piece of kit you have there, are you still looking for a magazine for it ?, I have several here and would trade for carrier items if you any going spare, do you still have any of thos hull grip handles and the antenna 'hook downs' left?.

Picked up a couple of neat bits for the carrier the other day at a gun show. Got 2 British green flares in mint shape. Now to just find 2 more matching ones then the white and red ones.

I also spent a few minutes to paint the inside of the radio battery box in glossy black as was discovered from those factory pictures posted a while ago.

Lastly, Ive added the tow chain brackets and a much better copy of the pick axe helve end bracket. Those were the last pieces I needed for my tool plate. Although you can't see it, I have also added the rear convoy lamp bracket on the reverse side of the plate.

Hopefully I will have my engine back soon and then I can have fun getting the whole vehicle back together again. This will give me some much needed room in the barn to work on other projects.
