super find, i am astounded that being so close to the road its not been seen before, or at least by a collector. I have also been driving around the country looking over hedges for 35 years or so, which is why I drive a 4x4

Thats amazing. Are you going to enlighten us to the story behind it? It seems a very strange place to dump a Carrier.

Shaun what about the CVRT in the background, does that need a home now that you have the carrier?

CVRT now that is one beast i wouldnt mind a bash in...tad easier to drive than a carrier, what with pre select gearbox's or automatic for that matter... always nice to drive summit built at my home town

PS Shaun here are some other photo's to get the creative juices flowing

finally got started on the strip down, managed to find the WD number (see photos) CT 112596. Its coming apart nicely with no nasty surprises . The hand control for the flame kit is still in place and there is only one section top armour missing which should not to be to hard to fit a new section in. I have pulled together a shopping list of the main items that are missing, i will post on here soon hoping that some of you guys will have some odd parts laying around.

great thread mate, i like the link between yours and richie's grandads it's a nice touch to think the carriers got you and richie in contact with each other all those years later.
i've got a couple of rads aswell if you need them, ones rough and the others worse but it's a start.

all the best

eddy
