dam is now 148% +
Release increased to 58 Meg
Wonder how strong that wall is ???
That would have it holding 4.5>5 times the capacity of Sydney Harbour
Approx 1782000 Megalitres usually 1188000ML
Took from 1946 to 1967 to build so it should be ok .....

A few more pics

Smile Bloody water!

Water everywhere, Wagga Wagga expecting major flooding tonight...
To the Yass boys, You may be sending all of that water this way, but look at what is heading your way right now!

One or two 'hoppers to keep your pastures under control!

The Gundagai Antique Motor Club's Christmas party was yesterday. We were going to have a picnic on the river flats but changed our minds.

Picnic on a houseboat perhaps

Had to have a little chuckle when I went to work this morning and went to go in to the carpark
For some reason the business park's name is apt today
Usually the river is about 400m to the west
The row of gum trees in the distance is the usual river channel

We've been off line for a few weeks as the computer is out of action and now we are borrowing Emma's. We sure had some rain here as well, one advantage of this hilly country we can't get flooded out only the poor people down stream in the flatter country cop all the water and flooding, we went for a drive to Gundagai and saw the water, there sure is a lot there spread out right across the flats under the bridge. We were flatout making hay before the rain came and now we're at a stand still as the paddocks are too boggy to get the machinery onto, now they are predicting more rain in the next couple of days maybe another couple of inches.Hope everyone is OK and not affected by the flooding too much.

Max

Max you did well to get hay this year, I didn't try as it was too risky and I still had hay in the shed. Also the cattle are grasing the best hay paddocks as the floods have washed all the balks out on Mum's side of the property,

A couple of photos of the bridge that is being built just round the road from here. The first was taken with minor flooding and the second was taken at about the peak of the flood.

The road at my entrance yesterday morning after 92.5mm of rain overnight. I had to remove some branches off the road so Vicki could go to work.

New bridge is across the creek in a tempory position so I can catch up on some stock work before building new headwalls. Vicki and Mum want sides on it they dont think it's safe as a flat deck.
