Hi lynn
the holes were in the same places but were not rivetted in it had a bren AA mount bracke still attached on one side or what was left of it and i think it had a mk2 box on the back at some point also there were a few footman loops attached at one end. and the side armour had the deep water base plate welded over the holes for the mk1 angle that held the gun rests. also there was signs of a tube being welded to the top edge.

So it was a MkI Universal that had been converted to a MkII. Not a Mortar carrier.
