Given the timing of the announcement of eventual decommisioning and the auction, I have trouble believing that the seller actually has ownership of the real vessel. I won't be rushing to put in a bid.
Who was the originator of the line "There's a sucker born every minute"? It seems a few of them have caught the auction bug. I'm also a bit surprised that the size of the bid hasn't somehow triggered an automatic flag at eBay to take a closer look at the sale, if only to be sure they get their percentage. On the other hand, when the winning bidder screams he's been had due to non delivery eBay will undoubtedly say that the transaction is between bidder and offeror and that they aren't really involved but that they still deserve their percentage. |

Did you read down the bottom of the listing...
"I have set no reserve as we don't care about our defence now and have started the bidding at .99p , Harriers might become available soon so please check back. Thank you for checking my piss take listing and good luck" I feel this listing is more of a political statement rather than an auction ![]()
