On Monday 27th September there was a lovely farwell for Maureen. More than 150 people were there from most Australian states and also from overseas (thanks Henri).
Maureens final ride was in Les Bells 6X6 Dodge. Many lovely things were said and a few laughs had as well. The wake held at Maureens home was well attended and our thanks go to Rita for her hard work.

It is a honour to her memory and family to see such recognition.
I was at the funeral of a veteran cook from aldergrove base. (signals) A really nice guy, 6 people showed up myself his realtor, wife, 2 daughters and a couple of people nobody knew and they left but was visible touched .If I wasn't a outsider I would have contacted the paper, another soldier died to-day and the legion. Least we forget

I have a few photos to post. Les Bell's Dodge has been used for a few of our NSW funerals. Maureen's Fire Jeep will still be seen at outings as she has left it to one of the AMVCS members. A number of military vehicles attended the funeral and the wake. The Blitz is belongs to Fred Reeves and recently did the trip to Alice Springs and return.
