Just got home after all the fun with London-Toronto traffic. I'm ragged but I have a good many pics which I'll try to upload tonight after the jeep is unpacked and everything stowed.

Myke, it was an outstanding show for which you should be commended!

Default muster postmortem

Hi Folks,

I am still wrapping up loose ends after the show but wish to take this moment to express my great appreciation to all those who chose to participate in the Muster. From all accounts it has been a tremendous success and this was due to your contibutions to the event. BZ to all you and many thanks. Very soon there will be a new folder on the www.militarymuster.org web site. It will be marked as FEEDBACK. I welcome ANY feedback. From general positive and negative comments of a general nature to individual issues. As you know this was the first event I have participated in as an organizer and I already have many observations that I have made that will no doubt improve the quality of the experience. So please feel free to add your "2 bits" worth. By the way it is a go for next year again....(I need my head examined) LOL

cheers

Default muster numbers

Estimates are in.....3500+ visited the Muster on Saturday and 2500+ visited the Muster on Sunday....all in all a VERY good turnout. One must consider that there were other events happening this weekend as well. A religous festival was held, a rodeo, Port Dover Motorcycle meet and Wambo, a huge car show. With all those other events at the same time it proves that the Windsor / Essex County area has a very strong interest for things military. This should be no suprise considering the military contributions of the past from this area.

cheers

Default Mike

A very good event - despite the temp and mugginess.

My lads are discussing it for next year, and we'll try drag a few more support weapons types along ( maybe mr P will let us borrow the 6 pdr...)

May I add my voice to congratulate Mike and his team for a wonderful event! The museum grounds are a great place to set up our vehicles and encampments, the staff of volunteers were excellent, and it was a very well run event. I'll be there next year!

Next year if you want to deploy the 6pdr in the battle your unit is welcome to it. I suggested it this year but we were understaffed to put in an extra gun crew. If you have the bodies use it. my mortar is available aswell.
