Yes I too was pleased with the one I bought from him. Very well done. What kind of rod did you use? I have yet to see one that doesn't bend when using this tool.

I used a tire iron just to try it. The bar from the Gray brand 3/4 drive socket set comes pretty close. I will shave a bit off the last inch or two on my lathe and give it a try. The bar for a budd wheel wrench should also come pretty close.

Just a long shot but would a chrome bar for tightening truck load restraint winches fit thoes bars can take a lot of force.
