Just an idea.... merger?
HMVF run by Jack Beckett is a great forum, they are branching out into a printed magazine (Pathfinder) and doing organised events too (A&E). Perhaps cut up-keep costs for both of the forum owners... I have no links to HMVF other than being a member since 2008.

I'm a fairly recent member at HMVF and it's good but My own opinion is that Jiff's MLU forum has the BEST appearance of any forum I've ever used. There is no clutter, the categories are few and I presume are specific to the subject matter the forum was intended to cater for, and the layout is as near to perfect as I think one can achieve. Nothing else quite comes close. Even the fonts and colour make it so easy to use. I'm not really trying to insult anybody, this is a personal taste thing.
Best wishes for the relocation is all I can add. Regards Alex |

Naw, a merger is out of the question. MLU has been around since 1998 and won't be changing anytime soon. It has grown to be what it is on its own - I may have designed the site and the forum, but its strength is its membership and they have earned their own place in the proverbial sun. MLU may be mine, but it belongs to all of us, and so it shall stay.

No worries Robert... we ain't changin' anytime soon.
![]() I've done a comprehensive backup again today, and I'm anticipating a changeover within 24 hours. If we're down for a day I apologise in advance, but I'll try to give you advance notice. My email address remains the same: sunrayniner _at_ rogers.com. That WON'T go away, even if the forum does for a short while! Thanks, Geoff
