Describe this belt please as a matter of curiousity.
I have a strip of disintegrating .303 belt that has black metal links. They resemble modern 7.62 link, but is clearly pull-out not push-through. I'd like to pin down what exactly it is.
Likely for the Inglis .303 aircraft gun. It was basically a scaled down 50 cal, thinner than a GPMG although one or two parts would interchange.
