SDRs operated above Artillery Regt/Inf Bn level.

Well back, they would operate at Bde, Div, Corps, Army.

I refer to true SDR/SDS, i.e. RCCS personnel.

Other cbt arms pers had m/c operating within their
sphere of influence, but while they might have been referred to
as DRs, they really wuzn't!

Whilst on the subject of acronyms
Maybe not Canadian more likely British or Australian but
Does anyone know what the sign on my C8 door means ? P / 4 / BOM
I am guesing it was a wireless vehicle due to the amount of supression straps

My first C8 had the diamond marking on it .. from the 1st Aust. Arm. division ... each squadron had a geometric shape .... circle.. diamond etc.

I was referring to the fact that pretty much ANY motorcyclist seen near the front line was a useful target, even for an artillery stonk (if the German equivalent of our FOO was sharp enough)....
