Default vent flap LH

Quote:
Army Truck WW2 CMP Ford Blitz- Cowl vent flap- LH side
This cowl vent flap for the left side of a Ford "Blitz". It is in very good condition thanks to several coats of paint applied to it over the years. I have often found these flaps rusted out along the edges where they seal on the cowl. This one is very sound throughout. Only minor repair that it requires is for the opening arm to be re-attached either by a spot weld or brazing.

Default Great spotting Chris

The overflow tank has the wrong mountings for either a cab 12 or cab 13 Ford CMP.

G'day
The first time the C8AX went on ebay it was at the local truck wreckers it has now moved over to the wreckers mates place at Nanango about 100klm away. They are always shifting stuff around from their yards. That doesn't alter the fact that apart from the missing wheels it is a really nice truck.
Cheers Ken

Ken,

You're right. The first time it came up on MLU I think was in 2008: Another Blitz on Oz EBAy.

Then in 2009 Bob McNeill posted it in the C8AX thread; also see page 6 of this thread.

Third time ebay lucky: so 2010 will be the year an MLU member is going to give this C8AX a good home?!?

Hanno
