I think The Mark 1 with the good armour will be the first project, not that i will ever be able to drive one of these, a passenger maybe, a driver, never. It will make a nice companion to the others that are usually at parades and displays in the area. wish us luck! B.M. |

Landrovers, i could swap him 4 series landys for a carrier hahahahaha (all pre 1972). you need to pursuade him the Mk1 carrier is his priority
great thread i keep spotting bits everytime i look. please can you get him to note down the CT numbers etc etc for the hulls and armour you never know, like Phills recent thread we may inspire him... one of those sexy beasts may have been somewhere or done something amazing, like the many service men that used them through WW2Richie

As a side note - only a few pieces of CDN equipment were brough back from Europe after the war, most of it was given away to re-equip our "allies" once Mr Hitlers mob was sent packing. Farley Mowatt ( the Author ) was instrumental in getting back a few and was soundly rebuked for it, and the veh's all disposed of quickly. General Crears" planning trailer ended up as temp housing for tobacco pickers untill found by Dr Gregg.

When I was a kid age around 11, I lived in the PMQ's at Camp Picton, Ontario. There was a large selection of vehicles and field guns on the commons(grass area) of one the the un-used courts there. What ever happened to the suff I don't know. Last I saw them was in 1960 as we moved to Winnipeg when my dad was posted to Winnipeg. He was with the 2RCHA 127 Bat. Light Ak Ak. Myabe the stuff belonged to the regiment.
