Default Hooked

Saw this Pintle Hook the other day, never seen anything like it before. Wonder if the pintle ring was square section to match?
Can anyone in the Brains Trust ID it for me?
Rich.

Default pintle hook

Remember the ARK? (I've never seen one of those before, but it looks old)

G'day Rich and Lynn,
I've seen these on C15 Blitzs' cab 13. I think that they may be an Aussie hook. They use the usual lunnet, not a square one. (Is there such a thing?)
That pintle hook goes on a spring which fits between the chassis rails not the casting that we are used too.
Rick

The Modified Conventional Pattern trucks used this type.

Default I know this one

G'day Richard

Definitely off the Militarised conventional trucks. That Chev 1 1/2 tonner Ive been working on has one.

Not saying other types of vehicles didnt have them.

I'll stamp this one as "Job Done", thanks guys.
Imagine the wear rate on both hook and ring were quite high, would not like to use it as a recovery point.

Rich.
