From Tony Smith's post today

http://www.mapleleafup.org/forums/sh...102#post127102

it looks like there is one more (#596) to add to the list.

Oops, too many thumbs! It's should be -594, which is already on the list.

Default Coonamble C8AX

Went out to Coonamble NSW to look for a spare part today. The old chap had a C8AX that was done up quite nice. I spotted the number and was surprised how low it was - 016. Put me onto a wreck at Baradine that is C8AX too.

Engine # FR3552612
Number - 016
Manufacture 5 - 5 - 43
Door Number 23069

Default Number and build date

It doesn't make sense. The earliest numbers are March. The number range for May production ranges (in the above list) from number377 to 657.
What happening here?

Lynn- Sorry!!!

You are right, the manufacture month is March not May. I wrote it on paper as the only photo I could take was with my mobile phone, hence the poor quality. Just read you post and ducked out to the car to check the note pad.

I am looking at a C8AX Baradine tomorrow and will take the camera this time, but this one is a proper wreck. All I’m after is a front brake cylinder from it but will still record its details for this list.

I'm not looking for apologies, just trying to keep the record straight for the future. Good on you for doing the work, collecting the info. By the way your truck looks great! Cheers.

Default Month?

I am sorry but I can't see with my 'orrible eyes whether the stamping is 5 - 5- 43 or 3 - 5 - 43.
