Default 20/20

Hi Keith

I was there as well, with a group of friends, including a Japanese girl, explaining cricket was quite interesting.
I go to the cricket when ever I get the opportunity just love the atmosphere at the MCG, will be going to a bit off football as well this year.

This was my first 20/20 match and certainly a great thing to watch three of the group of people had not been to cricket before and they certainly had a good night, it helped that we won.

Any good international of top level sport if I can go I will, Grandprix cars and bikes, went to the winter olympics a few years ago, will watch it on TV this time, I really want to go to a good rugby and soccer match one day as well.

You should offer her this explanation (from Here)

"In order to assist people who not familiar with the game of Cricket, I offer this explanation . . . . .
Cricket is a game in which there are 2 sides - one side is out, and the other side is in.
The entire team that is out goes out, until they get the team that is in out.
Each man in the side that is in goes out, and once he is out, he comes in, then the next man goes out until he's out and then he comes in.
When the side that is in is all out, the side that has been out goes in, and the side that was in goes out and tries to get out the side that went in.
Sometimes there are men still in and not out when the side that is in is finally out.
When both sides have been in and out, including those not out, and no longer in - that is the end of the game. (Five days later)
Of course, the side that is in "
(Sorry, nodded off)

Talking

Sorry guys I'm one of the silent majority of Australians who can't see the sense in using time to play or watch any sports except Motor Racing or maybe rifle target shooting or similar either live or on the telly especially if the targets are my favourite political figures!. I object also to TV Channels that give a half hour of News and Sports when it is in fact 15 minutes of adverts, 5 minutes of news and a 10 minute rerun of the 'game' ( be it cricket, Rugby League, Rugby, AFL, netball, tennis etc.)( But I'd make an exception to Ladies Beach Volleyball and other Ladies sports like that ) they showed in full most of the day and ended 5 minutes before the 1/2 hour news! Then of course all the whinging and replays of the same game that go on for days after. Plus all the millions of dollars wasted building sports stadiums around the country as well which could go towards paying for the fuel so V8 Supercars could race more often maybe twice a week keeping me occupied watching the Telly to see whether Ford or Holden won this time LOL!

I've been to one football game at North Sydney 17 years ago and I wont go back. Vicki and I went to the Australian open once and I'd like to find the time to go again.
This weekend Vicki and I sat in the rain to watch the Edinburgh Military Tattoo it was a great show.

Now that I would have liked to see and would have been happy to sit in the rain to watch as well.
