Default Organization

Very basically, each within each Division there are three Brigades, each Brigade consists of three Regiments. The Regiments within the Brigades and the Brigades are fixed to the Division. The Divisions were numbered 1 to 5 with the first three being Infantry Divisions and the last two being Armoured, they use the following corresponding colours:

1st Division - Red
2nd Division - Royal Blue
3rd Division - French Grey
4th Division - Green
5th Division - Maroon

For a more detailed information of the Canadian Army Overseas there are quite a few publications which you can access through your local library or purchase.
