Default Info

I hate to be a pest, but does anyone know how to get info about the truck based on the serial number or the order number, it would be nice to know some of the history of one of these trucks.

Thanks
Gary

Hi Gary

You are not being a pest, I had missed the thread when it started. First to determine if you have a C60S or C60L measure the wheel base 134 it is a C60Short if it is 158 then it is a C60Long. This of course presupposes the chassis has not been lengthened or shortened. Looking at your pictures I would say that it is a C60S as it doesn't have the intermediate drive shaft bearing support.

Now as to information search based on data plates, first you are luck as many many trucks have these plates been taken as souvenirs over the years. Which plates go with which trucks as that will help sort the information. I have a copy of the old INFOEX which I can check the engine serial numbers against to get an approximate date of construction to confirm the data plate.

If the engine number matches the Data Plate then you are lucky as so many CMPs have had the engine replaced. Have you been able to find the serial number on the chassis yet?

Cheers and please keep asking questions.

Default Serial #'s

Hey Phil, where exactly would I find a serial on the chasis as the smaller truck has no plates at all and it would be nice to find some kind of number for it, also my engine is packed securily in a wooden box and wrapped in plastic, I will hopefully be removing it in a while and will check the number, I doubt that it will match the plate as looking at the frame the truck appears to be C60s and the data tags say it is C15.
